New Garage Door FAQ

A standard single-door installation takes about 3 to 4 hours. A double-wide door or a job that includes a new opener may take most of the day. We will give you a realistic timeframe when we schedule the work.
Not always. If your existing opener is in good condition and has enough horsepower for the new door, we can keep it. We will test it with the new door and let you know. If you want to upgrade, we install belt-drive, chain-drive, and wall-mount openers.
If your garage is attached to the house, insulation makes a noticeable difference in keeping conditioned air in and outside air out. Insulated doors are also quieter and more durable because of their multi-layer construction. For detached garages you do not heat, a non-insulated door works fine.
Standard single-car doors are 8 or 9 feet wide by 7 feet tall. Double-car doors are typically 16 feet wide. We measure the opening during the estimate to make sure you get the right fit, including headroom and side room for tracks.
Yes. Removal and disposal of the old door and hardware is included in every new door installation. You do not have to deal with it.
